The Cherry Leaf Shawl turned out beautifully. I have had such trouble posting pics on here, but will be trying again today! I hope it works! Now I am moving on into double knitting. This has been a little frustrating at first. My first little block with 10 cast on stitches with 2 yarns looked like nothing but a big mess. However, I finally figured out the err of my ways! I went onto ravelry and looked up a few forum pages. These told me the one important thing I was doing wrong. To double knit (make a reversible mirror image with one color showing on the front and the second color on the back) you cast on with both yarns and you can do this together (two yarns at once). On your second row you will knit the color you want showing on the front and purl the colors you want showing on the back. The one main thing you must remember is that when purling you must bring both yarns forward in front of needles and purl. This will ease all your double knitting pain and make it lovely! Good luck! I plan on making a peace symbol afghan for my daughter with a double knitted peace sign in the middle... We'll see how this one goes! CommentsLeave a Reply | Stephanie O'Dell
