Always in search of items to make out of burlap.  I have made these earring holders by stapling the burlap inside a frame and covering with the cardboard that comes with the frame to cover this up.  I also stapled the cardboard back to the frame to hold it in place and tada we have a simple earring holder!  Love this idea and so simple.  You could also take plain burlap and stencils and acrylic paint to paint on any design you would like.  What a simple and useful craft!

We had a great Christmas party at Beamies on the River in downtown Augusta.  We had lots of gifts that were all handmade and totally awesome!  Denise made handmade body scrubs and lotions.  Sherri made a cool glass block light that I received and totally love.  Jeanne made a sweater pillow that Jamie received and looks great on her living room chair!  Jamie also received 2 books (smoothies and sewing books) and a knitting pattern.  Nancy received 2 scarves and a cowl.  Denise received a cowl.  Sherri also received a painted rock with a rose on it from Denise.  It is hard to remember all the great stuff!  I also received an awesome yarn ball wreath, which I will try very hard to get the pic posted on here today.  My computer does not always cooperate!  :)  It was a great 2011 gift swap and I can hardly wait to see the wonderful handmade gifts next year!
